May was lots of fun with sunny weather and enjoying getting out and about with my friends. It is awesome exploring the different parks and activities. I love watching the boat races at the lakes and enjoying the sunshine and the ducks too. I really enjoy going out and practicing my ball skills at Ila park, my catching and throwing has been improving well. I hope to get more time to work on my shooting in those really tall hoops. I have also been getting to go out and play pool with my friends is loads of fun. I have enjoyed practicing my skills with my friends, lining up the shots to go in the pocket.
Gardening both at the centre and at the Maryvale community garden is wonderful. Getting all the tiny weeds is fun for me. I love using my eye sight to get all the tiny bits and pieces from the garden beds. This helps me when I am out at the opshop too, looking for the rubbish bits and clothes that have fallen on the ground. I am great at picking them all up when we first arrive and do our sweep. It is so cool that we have made a lasting difference in our little linens corner of the opshop.
When I am at the centre I have loads of fun exploring different textures and lights in the sensory room. Using the black light and seeing colours shining differently is really interesting to me. I enjoy exploring the highlighters and colouring images with different light.
It was really cool when the cyclist Devon Briggs came and told us about his trips to the Paralympics, I was excited to wear his meadal and feel how cold it was and see his interesting bike.
I am excited for what I will do in June
